How different will the world come out of the current financial crisis?

The European Banking & Financial Forum was held from 24 to 26 March 2009 in Prague, on the theme of "How Different Will the World Come Out of the Current Financial Crisis?". Serving as an international discussion platform the forum is commonly attended by distinguished financiers of our time and representatives of investment companies, banks, financial institutions, state delegates and private entities interested in the debated subjects and cross-cultural networking. This year was notably invited Mrs Christine Lagarde, Minister of Finance, French Republic, and Mr. Victor Yushchenko, President of Ukraine.

Arnaud Leclercq was invited to discuss the following topics:

  • Personal finances in difficult times and dramatic impact of media on the
    psychology of markets
  • EU, Russia and CIS - Investments as one of the solutions to the crisis ?

This forum organized under the aegis of COMENIUS Pan-European Society for Culture, Education and Scientific and Technical Cooperation.

Arnaud Leclercq is a banker with an atypical background, a PhD in geopolitics and a professor at HEC in Paris. An MBA from HEC and a graduate of Harvard, he is a recognized executive in the world of wealth management, particularly with emerging markets. His book «La Russie puissance d’Eurasie. Histoire géopolitique des origines à Poutine», published in France (2013) and Russia (2015), is now a reference. His analyses are regularly shared by the media.
