The acquisition of this beautiful, neglected 17th-century manor to breathe new life into it, create an exceptional space, and share a private collection of paintings with the public. A passionate commitment, inspired by these key values: culture, tradition, confluences, transmission, the common good, and innovation.

On the first floor, the Permanent Collection will be constantly expanded with artists selected for their contribution to artistic movements sharing a common aesthetic. While not exclusive, the collection focuses primarily on the 19th and 20th centuries, placing them in perspective with selected contemporary artists.

Influenced since his youth by the political philosophy of Edmund Burke and the "longue durée" (long-term) concept developed by Fernand Braudel—and further convinced by the Swiss decentralized model as opposed to French Jacobinism—it was only natural that Arnaud Leclercq reached out to his professor Joseph Le Bihan, founder of the Institut de Locarn (IDL), as early as 1994, for passionate discussions regarding Brittany and its future. Whether by coincidence or destiny, twenty years later Arnaud was appointed Joseph’s successor as Professor of Geopolitics at HEC. In 2018, during a lecture he gave at Locarn, Arnaud was introduced to an assembly—as surprised as he was—as his successor. In 2026, the IDL deserves to be revitalized with a new momentum. Appointed as a board member, Arnaud Leclercq is now actively contributing to this renewed drive.
